Javier Martí Aranda (1989)
Composer and educator. He earned his degree in Composition from the Conservatori Superior de les Illes Balears (Palma), studying under Josep Prohens, Alberto Bernal, and Israel David Martínez. He later continued his composition studies at the Royal College of Music (London), where he obtained a Master’s degree in Composition (with distinction), studying with Alison Kay, Gilbert Nouno, and Jonathan Cole. Throughout his training, he also received instruction from renowned composers such as Cristóbal Halffter, Leonardo Balada, Ivan Fedele, José María Sánchez-Verdú, Tomás Marco, Alberto Posadas, among others.

His music has been performed in various Spanish cities, as well as in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, by ensembles and chamber groups such as Mainly Teo, New Art Sound Duo, and the New Perspectives Ensemble conducted by Timothy Lines.

Javier has received several commissions and was awarded second prize in the Art Jove 2017 competition for Young Composers. He currently combines his work as a professor at the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears with his activity as a composer.
