The Comtemporary Music Festival Encontres Internacional de Compositors invites submissions for its 2025 Composition Workshop, taking place in Mallorca. This opportunity is open to emerging composers—whether currently studying or at the beginning of their professional careers—of any age or nationality.

Overview
A workshop focused on contemporary instrumental music.
Selected composers will work with one of the following ensemble formats:
- Quartet
- Trio
- Duo
- Soloist
Available instrumentation:
- Piano, keyboard, or sampler
- Saxophone (soprano, alto, baritone)
- Percussion (vibraphone and additional materials to be determined)
- Cello
The workshop emphasizes testing and discussing instrumental techniques in relation to musical narrative.
Note: Live electronics and amplification are not permitted.
Final concert: October 19, 2025, at Fundació ACA (Búger, Mallorca).
Professional recording included.
Target Participants
Composers in training or at the beginning of their professional careers, with no restrictions on age or nationality.

Session Schedule
Online sessions (July - September 2025):
- First session: presentation of initial work ideas to the workshop faculty and performers.
- Second session: presentation and discussion of approximately one minute of music.
In-person sessions (October 18-19, 2025, at Fundació ACA):
Intensive work sessions between composers and performers.
Final concert on October 19.
Accommodation
Fundació ACA provides free accommodation during the in-person sessions for the first five selected participants.
Assistance will be offered to the remaining selected composers in organizing their accommodation.

Candidate Selection
Selection will be based on the curriculum and scores submitted.
Applicants will be informed of the outcome via email a few days after the application deadline.
Fees
Application fee (all applicants): €20
Registration fee (selected composers): €360
The workshop will be held with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 9 participants.
