Maties Far (1973) studied with composers X. Carbonell and M. Hidalgo in Mallorca and Stuttgart. He received various commissions, awards, and mentions from groups and organizations on the national and international scene. As the Meisterkurs ORCHESTERWERKSTAT of the SWR orchestra (2012) with Cifrado del puro querer, finalist in the permanent composition seminar of the Grup Instrumental de Valencia 2009 with the composer Mauricio Sotelo for ”Attese-concetto su tre” for ensemble (comissioned by grup Instrumental de València), or as the comission by Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró for the “star space” in coordination with Fundació ACA for ”Fakes States (Reality properties and M.) A Gordon Matta-Clark tour”, for 2 voices, tuba, flute, guitar and live-electronics. He has also been commissioned by the IEB of the Balearic Islands for the cycle of piano pieces Gran Mar, for piano 6 hands, orchestra and electronics, and Ones, for 2 or 3 pianists and electronics. His music has been performed in France, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, as well as in various cities in America and Asia. Creates a composition workshop “ Taller de composició Encontres” with the Festival Encontres de Compositores. He is currently a professor in the Composition Department at the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears. Edit in DONEMUS
