Llorenç Prats, a pianist born in 1990, regularly performs in chamber music concerts and recitals. He has performed on stages throughout Europe and South America. Additionally, he has been invited as a soloist by various orchestras, including the Burgos Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands, often premiering works by contemporary composers.
Trained at the Conservatorio Superior de Salamanca, where he earned the Premio Fin de Carrera, he continued his studies at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest, pursuing a master's degree in performance with András Kemenes and Jenő Jandó, and chamber music with Rita Wagner, Gábor Csalog, Marta Gulyás, and Zoltán Fejérvári. He has taken masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Ferenc Rados, György Kurtág, Claudio Martínez Mehner, Malcolm Bilson, Josep Colom, and Kennedy Moretti, among others.
His career demonstrates a strong commitment to both new music creation and informed interpretations of the historical Western classical music repertoire. In addition, he has participated in various projects as a composer and improviser within other styles and genres.
Llorenç is a member of the Trio Colombram and the Duo Artemis. He also collaborates with ensembles such as PluralEnsemble, JONDE, and OSIB. Since 2018, he has combined his concert activities with teaching, serving as a chamber music professor at the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears and as a repertory coach at the Conservatori Municipal de Felanitx.
